Walla Walla + La La
= Wallala

La La, Singaporean for Venus clam, was a childhood nickname given to Fiona by her father Tony. We decided to create a name that has special meaning paired with a contemporary twist on the locale where we met. Pronounced Walla-la, we wanted to establish a business that sounded as much fun as the product we make.

About Fiona & Peter

Fiona and Peter’s lives are deeply intertwined with food. Despite growing up on opposite sides of the world, they both share a foundational importance of food and family. Fiona’s fond memories of cooking with her grandmother and Peter’s parents’ emphasis on sitting down for a home cooked meal left huge impressions. In fact it was in the kitchen and across the dinner table that brought them together! As a team they work seamlessly, complementing each other to form a potent creative force.  To them, each meal is a new performance, a choreographed dance, with the goal of producing a satisfying, scrumptious finale. Avid entertainers and dinner party hosts, starting Wallala Dumplings together was a natural progression in their relationship.
